Base manager Michael Chadney welcomes you to Chatel-Censoir, your gateway to what many consider to be the most beautiful and romantic of all French canals, the Canal du Nivernais. LATE ARRIVALS

If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning

From Calais
From Calais follow A26 to Reims and onto Troyes. At Troyes exit and follow signs for Auxerre on N77 at Roundabout in Auxerre, join N6 sign posted Avallon. After 14 km join D100 to Chatel Censoir for 25 km. At Chatel Censoir take first road right to Clamecy then second right to Magny, cross over the canal bridge and Connoisseur is on your left.
Road distance approximately 597 kms 5 – 6 hrs including stops.

From Paris From Paris take the Autoroute A6. Leave at junction Auxerre Sud. Join N6 signposted Avallon. After 14 km join D100 to Chatel Censoir for 25 km. At Chatel Censoir take first road right to Clamecy then second right to Magny, cross over the canal bridge and Connoisseur is on your left.
