Excellent holiday, well equipped boat friendly helpful staff at the base. We had an amazing 11 nights and we will book again. The only criticism the beds in the cabins had plastic mattresses which were rather uncomfortable and impossible to keep a sheet on, that's the reason for only 4 stars.

Every aspect of our holiday with Le Boat was satisfactory.

We hired at the beginning of the season and it felt as if the company wasn't ready. The heating was not working and with the cold at night there was a lot of condensation in the boat by the morning such that we were woken up by condensed water dripping on us. We weren't sure if the heating wasn't coming on because the batteries were not sufficiently charged. They never reached their optimum level. Our complaint resulted in a long delay when we waited for an engineer to rendezvous with us, but he was unable to fix the problem and left us a convection heater that would not work either as there was insufficient electricity. We were also one curtain short in the main saloon that was a problem as we were using the saloon bunk as a bedroom for my elderly mother who felt very exposed without being able to close the curtains.We still enjoyed the opportunity to cruise the Canal du Midi but the holiday was marred by the extreme cold at night and dampness it caused.
Problems with the heating which is probably not necessary in the summer but was definitely required in the early Spring.
