Reviews for the Clipper

4 on board, family, one experienced sailor. Great way to see the country side and experience the culture.
Mostly good. Suitable for 4, more would have been unpleasantly crowded. Would recommend.
Tranquillity, beautiful experience and most relaxing. Kids loved it.
Spacious for family of 4, easily navigable, clean and tidy.
The most memorable part of the trip was the incredible scenery we could only have seen from a boat. The locks were pretty amazing as well. As a whole the experience was wonderful, so much to learn and so many wonderful sights to see. The back bedroom was a bit of a squeeze, but otherwise the boat was very comfortable. We cooked on the boat and also ate ate the tie up spots. Navigating was an entirely new thing for us, but all t he lock keepers we very patient and helpful. We even got gold stars from one keeper for wearing our life jackets!
The boat was fine except for the small size of the forward bedroom. Our learning curve for navigating was pretty steep, but we learned. All of us took turns steering and tying up, even pulling the boat with tow ropes through the locks. The kitchen was fine as we're the bathrooms. We were up on the top whenever the weather allowed. Lying in bed listening to the waves lapping quietly was special at night.
Really enjoyed the cruise especially seeing the countryside, drinking the local wines and eating the local specialties.
The boat was basically fine. However, we had problems with the aft shower which were not repaired by LeBoat in two attempts. Also, we were promised a WiFi station which we did not receive.
You definitely need boating experience. It was quite hard at times. And isn't ideal for small children. That said, the rivers and canals were beautiful and it was unique once in a lifetime experience. Italy and Venice in particular are amazing.
Boat was good, but a little more preparation by the team at le Boat would have been helpful. and it is unbelievable that they make you buy your own water map. Totally crazy.
