Reviews for the Countess

Taking in the vistas of the Scotish Highlands. Awesome! And Loch Ness, Loch Oich, Loch Lochy and the Caledonian Canal are spectacular, especially at daybreak when the water is like glass.
We prefer sailing; however, Countess certainly met our needs. We had expected to cruise with another couple, but they were unable to join us. So we had more than enough space for just the 2 of us. The split cabin setup would have provided just the right amount of separation had the others been aboard. The only complaint is the galley is too isolated from the salon. Whoever is cooking is isolated from everyone else while they're cooking.
Unfortunately for us the holiday was not one of our best. Shame as we had chosen it for our Silver wedding anniversary and it had been 27 years since we had last done a similar holiday.
We felt for the money the Countess was poor value. It also only really sleeps 5 and not 6. The interior also felt tired and in need of a facelift.
The landscape between Deinze and Gent is wonderful.
Relaxing, quit and very nice landscapes.
The boat was excellent and ideally suited for two couples. easy to manouvre and handle.
No one experience outstanding, we enjoyed it very much - one of the highlights of our holiday.
Boat very enjoyable - I would not recommend it as a 6 berth boat, I would say 5 people maximum. We were 2 adults, 2 ch and it was a good size.
