There are good moorings here, plus lots of things of interest to visit, good shops and some decent restaurants
What is there to see?
Church from the 16th and 17th century with seperate campanile constucted in an old defensive tower from the 16th century. Ancient Hotel-Dieu with porch from the 12th century which houses the 3 - star museum. Houses, battlements, moats and towers from the 16th century. The park of the chateau de Coligny has the oldest orangery in France, the wells of "Jean Goujon" and the staircase of "Conde" from the 16th century, the dungeon and the cellars of the old fort. Finally, the tomb of Admiral Gaspar the 2nd of Coligny who was killed in the battle of St Barthélémy.
What can I visit?
Circuit of the town with a map from the tourist office (guided tour once a week : Wed from 10h to 12h : 1,5€ per person). Museum of local history and archeology. Grounds of the chateau. ( all details from the tourist office).
Is this place famous for anything?
Ancestral home of the Coligny and Becquerel families. The first writings of Colette are also kept here.

Museum of Chatillon-Coligny. Guided tours can be arranged on demand : 1,75 euros / person + 8 euros per group for the guide.
History : The Coligny family (The wars of religion, numerous manuscripts and paintings. Science : The Becquerel family (their many works, discoveries) and the lives of the 4 Becquerel physicians.
