Why do we recommend stopping here?

This is a very pleasant old Mediterranean type fishing port. There is a very good beach 200 metres from the port with bar/brasserie. Swimming in the étang is warmer than the sea!

Best places to drink an aperitif?

There is a good snack bar on the beach, and if you stroll through the port you can browse the menus of the many resturants here.

Budget restaurant

There are at least 10 restaurants in the port about 2 mins walk from the boat - They are all worth a visit! Fish and seafood is very popular here and you can often find 'fruits de mer' - large platters of shellfish or varying kinds, usually sold for parties of two upwards - the more of you there are, the bigger the platter! Moules Marinières is also a popular and inexpensive local dish

What other shops are there??

There is a good range of shops here - these are in the main town, at least 10 mins walk, not in the port itself. This is probably not a town to consider going shopping except for souvenirs in the port. Food shopping is more easily available in Marseillan Port.

Mooring

Moor stern on inside the harbour wall. The Capitanerie staff are most helpful, and there are good toilets and showers. Mooring can cost up to €40 per night. The Harbour office, at Quai Baptiste Guitard can be contacted at 04 67 43 58 94 .
