Airport/station transfers

If you are arriving by train or plane, we can arrange for a taxi to meet you and take you back to the airport at the end of your holiday.

Angler's pack

For the really keen fishermen among you, our angling pack (dinghy & outboard motor) will help you reach the most secluded stretch of water, and maybe catch the big one! These packs are available in Ireland and a selection of other popular fishing destinations. We can also help you with obtaining fishing permits locally on arrival. We also sell a range of fishing gear at most of our bases if you decide you fancy a spot of fishing! Ask our sales teams or agents for further details.
140€/week – Angling dinghy, outboard motor. Available in Ireland, Germany, Holland & France (Douelle & Jarnac)

Bicycles

Hiring bikes to take on board with you is very popular and a great way to explore your cruising region. We have a selection of
lightweight aluminium bicycles, mountain bikes and children’s bikes for hire. Child seats and helmets are also available.
NEW FOR 2012:
We now offer Tag–along bikes for children. Child seats (10€ / 10£ / 15 US$ / 15 AU$) are also available for rental from most bases, where you can also buy helmets if you forget to bring your own!

Cleaning

If you don’t want to spoil the end of your holiday by spending your final day cleaning the boat, opt for our cleaning charge and we will do it for you. All you have to do is empty the bins and the final washing–up!

Collection/return times

Unless you have confirmed and paid for priority check–in and/or late check–out, boats are available for collection between 16:00 – 18:00 and must be returned to the base by 09.00 on the final day of your holiday.

Comfort cushions

Why not hire a pack of top deck cushions for extra comfort while you cruise. They also double as sunbathing mattresses! Cushions are provided on our five and six anchor boats. 8€ / week – Pack of 2 outdoor top deck cushions.

Crew for the "Vision" – New for 2012!

For an extra touch of luxury, why not book a Captain to drive your boat along the Canal du Midi? We can also arrange for a chef to be on board too, cooking delicious local cuisine for you and your party. Staying on board in one of the en–suite cabins, our Vision Crew will help you make the most of your journey along this historic waterway. This luxury service will only be available during July and August, and only on the Vision, so book early to guarantee crew availability.

• Only available for 7 night duration
• Only available in the Midi/Camargue
• Only available for Saturday depts. starting between 30th June – 22nd September
• Crew consists of captain & chef (or captain & host), they stay on boat and share a cabin so max occupancy of boat is decreased, only available as a pair to ensure boat can be navigated through locks without customer assistance
• Customer buys all food, including for captain and chef
• Tip not included in price, at customers discretion
• All meals will be prepared by the chef

Early boarding & Late check–out

Now even earlier! Why not make the most of your time on the water and register for our Early Boarding and Late Check–Out service, which enables you to collect your boat BETWEEN 11:00 – 12:00, or FROM 14:00 on the first day and return your boat by 12:00 on the last day. (Normally our boats are available from 16:00 and need to be returned by 09:00 at the end of your vacation). Please note that due to operational reasons, it may not always be possible to offer this service. Please check with our sales teams or agents.

Eco Cleaning Pack

Help us preserve the waterways for future enjoyment by buying our Eco-Pack of cleaning products and toiletries.

Entertainment Pack

If you're worried about how to keep the kids amused (and even grown–ups need amusing sometimes!), you can hire a portable DVD player from most bases. Just don’t forget to bring your DVDs! All our boats have radio/ CD players on board too, so you can bring your own music too.

Fuel

Fuel is an additional cost payable locally at the end of your holiday. They are calculated on a ‘per hour’ or ‘per litre’ basis depending on your cruising region. The sales teams will be happy to advise an approximate fuel cost for your holiday – taking in to account the type of boat and cruising region. Fuel costs are linked to market rates and are subject to change without notice.

Grocery Pack

Take advantage of our advance grocery ordering service which allows you to order a selection of grocery packs which will be ready on board for you when you arrive. These packs are only available prebooked and available on most of our departure bases.

Insurance (CDW)

We encourage all customers to take great care not to damage their boat, or that of anyone else, while on vacation. All customers must pay either a non–refundable Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or a refundable Damage Deposit. With the CDW you will be fully covered if your boat is returned damaged, or if there is any accidental damage or injury to third parties. The refundable Damage Deposit will be used if your boat is returned damaged or if there has been any accidental damage or injury to third parties. The replacement cost of any items of boat equipment or inventory that are lost or damaged will be charged for separately. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.

CDW: From $125–$310 depending on boat type and duration

Refundable Damage Deposit: From $1,580 – $2,410 depending on boat type

Kayaks & Dinghies

For extra fun on the water, we offer 2–seater kayaks for hire on the Norfolk Broads in the UK. Ask our sales teams or agents for further details.
30€/week – Available in UK (Norfolk Broads)

License

You do not need a special boat license to hire or drive any of our boats unless you cruise between Saarbrücken and Apach and in some cases when cruising to or from Potsdam in Germany. Any paperwork required by local waterways authorities will be completed with you before you depart from the base.

One–way cruises

One–way cruises are perfect for seeing a lot of your chosen area without retracing your steps. An additional one–way fee is payable for these cruises. At the end of your cruise we can arrange for you to be taken back to your startbase by taxi, or alternatively transfer your car to meet you.

Parking

Standard Price : 40€ / week. Prices may vary by base. Some bases have secure/ locked parking and/or garages on site or nearby which can be used for a small charge. Standard Price : 55€ / week. Only available at select bases. Garage prices differ in Germany & England.

Pets

For a small additional cleaning fee, wellbehaved pets are welcome on board. We can also supply details of local vets if ‘Pet Passport’ vaccinations are required before travelling home.

Pre–order your groceries

Take advantage of our advance grocery ordering service which allows you to order a selection of grocery packs which will be ready on board for you when you arrive. This is especially useful if you are not driving to your base, or know you will be arriving after the supermarkets have closed. Check out our website or ask our sales teams for more details.

Priority check–in/Late check–out

Our boats are normally ready for collection from 16:00 and need to be returned by 09.00 on the last day of your holiday. However, you can pre–register your interest for Priority boarding (14:00) and Late check–out (12:00) when you book your holiday. Due to routine maintenance schedules, the base manager will only be able to confirm this one week prior to departure.

Travel arrangements

Our prices do not include the cost of getting to and from your departure base, but we are very happy to arrange this for you.

TVs/DVDs

Some of our bases have TVs/DVDs for hire. All our boats have CD players. Don’t forget to pack your own DVDs and CDs.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are essential for providing shade while you cruise. They are provided on board your boats for a refundable deposit, so take good care of them!
Umbrella : 25€/week – paid at the base - refundable deposit

Our cruising itineraries are suggestions only. You can also create your own itinerary as long as it only includes waterways listed in this website – We recommend that you buy a detailed Waterways Guide for France or other cruising map to help you plan your holiday Our online Cruising Companion also gives lots of detailed information about your cruising area; it has been developed on the back of the extensive local knowledge of our base teams and feedback from our customers.
