Reviews for the The Little Broads Short Break
We had 3 nights on The Broads. It's a fantastic way to see Norfolk. Very relaxing holiday. Great to be able to moor up & within minutes be fishing. For a longer holiday, we think bikes would be a good way to explore the Norfolk villages, but for 3 nights, we were happy spending the majority of the time on the boat taking in the scenery.
We saw lots of wildlife & a few landmarks which wouldn't be visible unless you were on the boat. The little villages are a great way to break it up a bit, and there are plenty of pubs along the way. Great fun.
Pub at Horning (the big one with moorings) looks nice but food is poor.
Avoid the riverside pubs. They look inviting but standards are low and prices not. Scenery was nice and going off season makes mooring much easier because it is much less crowded. Downside is the weather out of season and the condition of our boat made that worse as it was cold (see further comments below). We had to keep the cooker burners on to warm the boat up. The heating system was never going to cope. Overall its a great family break but the boat needs to be in good condition as alot of time is spent on it.
Comment fromLeBoat Customer Service
Dear Stuart, We note with disappointment the issues you experienced with the wind shield and heating. We appreciate these points must have taken the edge off what was otherwise a good trip and made life onboard a little less pleasant then it should have been given the cold weather you experienced. We have asked our base manager to ensure these issues are addressed without further delay.
