Reviews for the The Heart of England Short Break
Boat very wet, condensation dripped off ceiling and walls onto floor, toilet was hand pump and did not work well and had air blow back each time, bed pad was no good-- very very flat and so was sofa. Piece on oven door fell off. We had to buy a striker to use stove and oven as matches were always wet. Leboat Service center staff at Benson and Chertsey are excellent. The boat heater has a bad diesel smell.
Price I ended paying was alot more than an advertsed specials for the same boat and weekly time.
The staff at Benson were very helpful and thorough with the induction to the boat which was very helpful. The staff at Chertsey were also great, Christina was a star! The whole booking process went smoothly. Anne was great.
The Thames is a great place to cruise with loads of good attractions and restaurants along the way. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather seeing as it was October! We had glorious sunshine everyday.
Every aspect of our holiday with Le Boat was satisfactory.

Dear Ian,Thank you for your feedback, your opinions are very important to us.We are very pleased you enjoyed your holiday on the Thames and hope to welcome you on board with Le Boat again soon,Best wishes,The Le Boat team
Le Boat offered an upgraded boat or a one way trip; the latter we agreed would be best and this worked out really well rather than returning to the same base. Very professional and easy to discuss options via email and phone. The boat was handed over to us and everything explained beforehand. Returned the boat in the evening and the staff there waited after usual working hours to help sort everything out with us.
The people I interacted with were friendly and competent. The materials were clear and descriptive. However, the staff at Benson, although friendly, were somewhat unhelpful when the river became to dangerous to navigate. Perhaps we just needed more hand holding then most of their customers. When we reached Chersey, we found the Le Boat rep quite by accident. We were in the right spot, but not for any signs that this was the Le Boat harbor. We had a few issues when we picked up the boat: We arrived around four in the afternoon, the designated pick up time, but the boat was still being cleaned. We had to "borrow" some supplies (linens, t-towels) from other Le Boats.
I am so glad that we took this option. The boat had so little power, I am not at all sure that sailing up the river was a serious option considering the amount of rain England had in May.
