Reviews for the The Classic Nivernais Cruise
Great service during the booking process and excellent service from the Migenne base.
Quaint villages and beautiful scenery.
Everything was great. The size and layout of the boat. Having ensuites was a real plus with three couples on board. Kitchen was well appointed. Bunks comfortable. Scenery, local markets, villages had everything we could want and the bikes were so much fun.
Assuming you mean the boat .....it had everything we needed.
The technical state of the boat was fully OK. Two little problems we have found with additional equipment were corrected very fast by specialist who came to us in one hour after our request (next morning).
All were excellent ! I can cordially recommend this cruise !
Friendly effizient staffLovely way to Enjoy a holday
Small Towns but everything Went smooth. Friendly staff
This is the second time we've rented from Le Boat. Their service has been excellent. The US rep made the transaction easy and every representative we met in Europe was friendly and helpful. When we had a problem with our connection from Paris to Tannay, I just called Le Boat and adjustments were quickly made. It's a classy operation. The Le Boat website is pretty confusing at first and requires some time to master.
Everyone in the ports were very helpful. About half the trip was on the Yonne River, so I thought that might be more difficult than the canal. In fact, I wasn't always sure which was which and it wasn't a problem. Docking was more expensive than I remember from our trip a decade ago. It cost $30/night in Auxerre and required some creativity and local help to get an appropriate spot with working power. But Auxerre turned out to be a wonderful place and we spent two days there. Unlike the Midi, Nivernais locks are not automatic and we quickly learned that helping the lock keepers open and close them was fun and helped speed our journey.
