Le Boat trains their staff expertly!
Le Boat is just the right size company to help us plan our experience. The sales agent was easy to get in touch with and she provided feedback via email and phone exactly when she said she would do so. The website is packed with lots of information which helped us map out our trip.

Really enjoyed the Canal du Midi…
Really enjoyed the Canal du Midi experience. Le Boat made is very hassle free. Checkin and check-out both very straightforward and friendly.
No hidden charges – can be a concern in boat hire.

A fabulous boating vacation
A fabulous boating holiday, from Angouleme to Saintes via Cognac. Le Boat operate like a well-oiled engine, the whole team are so helpful and the boats are very well equipped.
Highly recommend Le Boat (this is our 4th vacation with them and we’ll be booking again!).
A great way to reconnect as a family, we hired the large 12 berth boat and had plenty of space for us all.

Our 3rd cruise on the Shannon with Le Boat and our best one yet. From start to finish all the Le Boat staff were excellent. From booking, getting our boat all the way through to giving the baot back the staff on Portumna were the best yet, special mention to Brian for his excellent and fun boat tutorial and to Sarah at check in who were both brilliant.

Our first boating holiday…
And it was great!
We arrived early at the Migennes base, which helped a bit as the base is very busy on Saturdays.
Said and Ana was fantastic! Super friendly, super helpful and just a joy to be around.
The boat we had showed it age a bit, but it was absolutely great for our needs.
This is a fantastic active family holiday. Dump your mobiles and social media, and just be outside a bit. Locks keep you busy, but they get easier every time.

First time on a self-drive river boat…
First time on a self-drive river boat for a family of 4 from the UK. We were scared..but the team at Le Boat soon had us navigating our boat through locks with ease. They were super friendly and very helpful. They also gave us a lift to and from the local supermarket to pick up supplies! The boat was beautifully clean and very well equipped. The water tank was large and easy to fill, it kept us in more water than we could possibly use for a few days. Excellent information from the team at Le Boat made sure that we visited some beautiful French towns and villages. Merci beaucoup Le Boat!

Great way to spend a week on the water
Great way to spend a week on the water. This was our 7th rental with LeBoat, but the first one on the Trent-Severn Waterway. Our previous rentals were on the Rideau system. The Trent has many more locks (and larger ones, taking longer to transit).
For navigation, we used IBoating that provide a better view of the area than the plotter provided on the boat.

We took the Le Boat tour in Belgium from June…
We took the Le Boat tour in Belgium from June to July 2024. Rik from Westhoek Marina at Nieuwpoort was an exceptional guide. He provided us with many useful travel tips, and we greatly appreciated the staff members’ helpfulness and positive attitude. When one of our suitcase wheels broke, Rik even went out of his way to drop us off at the Nieuwpoort bus and tram station. We loved every little town (especially Bruges and Ghent, but Diksmuide and Ieper were also interesting and beautiful in their own way. We completed both Route 1 and Route 2. Thanks to the Belgium team—this was such a great holiday!

This was our first Le Boat experience. Awesome choice and…
This was our first Le Boat experience. Awesome choice and so glad we did it. Apart from the adrenalin to ensure you do things correctly, to the calm and relaxed hours on the canal. Our family was excited about all the planning, boating and exploring small towns like Edam, Zaanse Schaans and Maarssen on foot, bike and sometimes just on the deck! As a first time Le Boater, the staff made it easy and explained all the detail and operations (p.s. be sure to take notes), that helped us on our way. By day 2 you definitely feel more comfortable with all the bridges, signals, sluices and mooring. This was a unforgettable family vacation and we will surely tdo this again when opportunity presents itself.

The liberty is a new model and an excellent choice. We didnt need to use many of the features *smart TV, air conditioning, microwave ) but appreciated the 2 showers and toilets, bow and stern thrusters, upstairs steering option and upstairs fridge and BBQ. the sun shade was also appreciated.

We enjoyed the Horizon 4 -with 4 cabins space was great and each one had its own bathroom.
Good size gally and eat in area a plus was the full size fridge. Our captain was impressed with the thrusters which was a big plus for navigating.

The Boat exceeded our expectations. We had 6 adults and 2 kids on the boat. There was still plenty of room and no one felt cramped. Even with a day of rain everyone had their own space. These are big boats with LOTS of places to get away from everyone if needed.

Again, awesome boat. We originally booked the Sheba, but due to unavailability Le Boat upgraded us to the Royal Mystique. Practical lay-out, lots of space for 4 people and definitely enjoyed the deck and gasbraai (bbq) outside. Felt like the Captain of my own boat.
