A wonderful weekend, made special by the outstanding LeBoat Nieuwpoort team
At the beginning of October, I rented a Horizon 4 boat from LeBoat to spend a weekend with my closest friends from work, a group of 8. LeBoat’s slogan, “The fastest way to slow down,” turned out to be exactly what we needed. The weekend gave us a chance to relax, recharge, and strengthen our bonds, both as friends and as colleagues. We came away feeling even closer, with memories we will cherish for a long time.
Unfortunately, we weren’t entirely lucky with the timing. Our weekend coincided with the transition of Belgium’s waterways from the summer to the winter schedule, which meant that navigating on Sunday was impossible due to bridge and lock closures. Even after adjusting our plans, we encountered further disruptions when some locks broke down on days they were scheduled to operate. However, this is where the LeBoat Nieuwpoort team truly deserves special recognition. Throughout these unexpected challenges, they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and solution-oriented. Every time something went wrong, they helped us find the best possible alternative, even when the issues were entirely beyond their control or responsibility. Thanks to their support, we never felt left to deal with the problems on our own. Instead, we could focus on enjoying our time together, knowing that the team was doing everything possible to help us make the most of our weekend.
The boat itself was in excellent condition, clean, well-maintained, and fully prepared for our arrival. The team was also wonderfully flexible and accommodating with both check-in and check-out, making the entire experience smooth and welcoming.
Despite the unexpected changes to our itinerary, we are leaving with nothing but good memories. A big thank-you to the entire LeBoat Nieuwpoort team for their outstanding customer service, flexibility, and positive attitude. You made the difference between a potentially frustrating weekend and a truly memorable one!

We had a wonderful boating vacation with Le Boat, traveling from Portumna to Carrick-on-Shannon aboard *Cladagh* and *Bilberry* from 10–17 October 2026.
We received a warm welcome in Portumna, and the boat handover was smooth and professional.
When the heating on *Cladagh* failed in the chilly autumn weather, Pat, a very friendly and competent technician, arrived promptly with spare parts and even blankets to keep us warm. He repaired the heating in no time. **His outstanding service deserves special thanks!**
Returning both boats in Carrick-on-Shannon and the airport transfer were equally straightforward.
We were extremely satisfied with the entire Le Boat team and can highly recommend their service. **Many thanks to everyone, especially Pat. We will gladly come back!**

The booking in process was fantastic! Very smooth & excellent staff. Our staff member explained our route… we finished in Grey and came back in 5days.
The guys spent time explaining how to drive the boat and went through all the details. It was perfect with maps and all instructions. We all had a fantastic time and weather was beautiful! Great family trip with kids and grandkids
It was a trip with our adult children and grandchildren. The boat was exactly what we needed. We loved the ability to eat inside or up on top of the boat. We even had a grill similar to a blackstone on top. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The locks were very easy to navigate through.

We had a wonderful experience. From first enquiry to returning the boat the communication was always prompt and concise, nothing was ever an issue. Boat met expectations and ideal for this environment.

We had a great 7 night trip in Burgandy aboard a Horizon 1. The boat had everything we needed to comfortably cruise the river and was easy to handle. We went late season and had no problem finding places to tie up. The Le Boat staff was fantastic. The outside of the boat was a little hammered as you truly don’t need experience and the boats do get beat up, but the inside was in good condition and clean. We’ll be using Le Boat again in the future.

We very much enjoyed our one-week cruise on the Rideau Canal, Rideau Lake, Tay Canal, and Tay River. The vessel operated flawlessly. The le boat staff at Smiths Falls, Ontario were very helpful and courteous.

My experience with Le Boat was absolutely fantastic. From reception right through to check-out, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional.
As a first-timer, I was quite nervous at first, but that quickly changed into an absolutely mind-blowing experience. Although we had the smaller Cirrus B, which I jokingly called the “baby vessel”, it handled like a charm and was perfect for the two of us. The confined space was actually very convenient and comfortable for sharing.
Everything on the boat worked perfectly, from the fridge and gas to the lights, electricity points and other facilities. It made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable.
I will definitely do another boating vacation with Le Boat, most probably in France or Italy. I would highly recommend Le Boat to my friends and will definitely consider bringing the family along next time!

My husband and I had no boating experience but have lived in and around the Rideau Canal and the lakes of Ontario for many years without any real way to access them and travel on them. Le Boat made our dream come true! We celebrated our 20th anniversary by learning to pilot a boat and travel through the beautiful lakes and rivers. We stayed overnight moored to out of the way islands and by quaint little towns that you cannot easily see or get to from roads. We had fun cooking in the boat kitchen and enjoying coffee while the sun rose and tea while the sun set, just outside the big boat windows. Best of all we were not anxious about the boat or operating it due to the excellent preparation and training we received from the Le Boat staff at Smiths Falls. Troy gave us the details upon arriving at the office, Igor introduced us to the boat and was a patient instructor for us new boat pilots and Mike helped us get underway. Lock staff were also super friendly and helpful along the way. Fellow Le Boat boaters and other boaters were also fun to chat with. Special thanks goes to Igor for his great training and alleviating our fears when we called him while on tour with our questions!

The Horizon 5 is only a couple years old. It felt like a brand new boat. With 3 couples, Ed had plenty of room to spread out and stash our luggage in the spare rooms. This boat is big, but the side thrusters made it incredible easy to maneuver into tight docking spots. Loved this boat.
