After spending two weeks in Europe, my husband and I had just one night in Venice before heading home. My favorite aspect of Venice is that you reach a point where cars are not allowed, so your only option is to walk or take a water taxi. While walking isn’t a great choice when you have a suitcase with you – especially when you reach a bridge and have to carry it up and down stairs – there’s something exciting about only being able to travel the streets and alleyways by foot. Here’s a list of my favorite things to do in Venice from my limited time there.
