Fun on the beach
If your summer isn’t complete for you without sea and sand, then we have cruising destinations that are ‘right up your promenade!’ The waterways of the Camargue run parallel with glorious Mediterranean beach resorts, while the Friuli region of Italy allows you to cruise adjacent to the golden sands of the Adriatic coast. And not forgetting Belgium, where the sandy beaches of Ostend allow you to combine sandcastles with countryside cruising.
Fun in the water
There’s nothing like a refreshing dip on a hot summers day and many of our destinations allow you to swim right from your boat. The beautiful river destinations of the Lot or Charente in France are perfect for this, as are the wide open lakes of Mecklenberg in Germany of the Rideau in Canada – to name but a few.
Fun with the family
With the kids in tow – you’ll want a destination that has plenty for them to see and do. The Thames in England, is a great destination, with an abundance of theme parks, kids attractions, woodlands and gardens. Alsace in France combines big city attractions in Strasbourg with waterway fun – kids will love the giant boat lift at Arzviller, the nearby luge, plus Europa park.
