Late boat delivery completed at 7:30 pm. No one at the end base spoke English until around 2 pm Excellent boar design. Best showers/cabin accommodations we have had on 15 different trips. Joy stick piloting worked perfectly. Boat was a little worn/ abused

I hired the Horizon 3 with joystick control which was excellent. However, the training should have explained tat as well as being able to reverse using directional control with the joystick when using the throttles there is also directional control in reverse. This is the first boat I have hired that has steering in reverse. Not being aware of this caused many difficult and dangerous incidents. 2 minutes of training would correct this unexpected response by the boat. Luxuriously appointed boat with 3 equal sized cabins and a large saloon. Galley was kitchen standard. Outside, upstairs space was enormous. Outside, upstairs steering position was well placed and all functional controls were available.

Great for all the pre-holiday advice but the base could have been a little more enthusiastic and welcoming. Beautiful river for scenery, exquisite little villages with delightful restaurants. Ideal for families as the river is great for fishing and swimming and paddle boarding. Biking was great too. The absolutely perfect location for a family holiday. Our family of 16 ranged from just-under-2 to 75 (on 2 boats), and we all had a wonderful holiday together.

Our boat was wonderful but delayed on pick up, which meant we really lost a day when the return is 900am. The bikes we hired in the package we are disappointment. Not all gears worked and no puncture kits or tools. The boat was well stocked and the wifi was good. We would definitely recommend to others and we will book again ourselves. One oversight was we were lead to believe we could access Lot and Basie rivers but at departure we were told no. All good though, we cycled to Nerac- a must visit. Regards John Belbeck Simply wonderful experience

Excellent pre-cruise info. Online info not available on tablet during the cruise was unfortunate. Unique way to see the French countryside.

Everything was as advertised and the staff was pleasant and thorough. The boat was clean and spacious. ( The computerized electronic controls left a bit to be desired, as twice it failed and caused us to lose our steering control ). Three brothers of Irish Heritage with our lovely wives on a beautiful boat cruising down the Shannon River surrounded by lush green rolling hills , historic sites , warm and friendly locals, sounds like a no-brainer to me!

Check out and check in was efficient, employees were nice, but boat preparation prior to picking up the boat was inadequate. Our boat was infested with ants, and when advised, the base didn't do anything but give us a partially filled bottle of insect spray. The ants plagued us throughout the trip. They were in the beds, the refrigerator (don't ask me how they got in there) and in the cupboards. We bought more spray but they just kept coming up from the bilge. The water closet was clean, but the cleaners didn't look up. There was mold on the overhead of the shower. There was an awful smell in the aft stateroom coming from the sewage tank below. When we mentioned this on return, we were told the departure base probably failed to put chemical in the tank. When running the air conditioner, one of the bedrooms had condensation that poured out of the overhead soaking the bedding. We had to place a pan under the leak to keep the bed dry. While I don't believe it, we were told that this happens if you run the air conditioner on shore power instead of running the generator. Our generator would not power the AC; plus, I don't think our neighbors would have appreciated an engine running next to them all evening. I think there was an issue with the condensate drain line that needed to be corrected. Some of the interior lights were missing bulbs, and did on work. Our boat was missing many kitchen implements, most notable was a coffee pot. Our boat had a broken stateroom window latch, so there was nothing to prevent a thief from getting into the boat. We had to improvise a method to lock the window. Some of the electronics on the boat were not functioning; camera system, and something else that escapes me. There was no mop on board, making it difficult to keep the boat clean and reclaim the cleaning deposit. We had to purchase our own. We also purchased a squeegee ignorer to keep the windows clear. Some of the bed mattresses were old and uncomfortable, while others were adequate. Some of the beds needed better slats. Also, the sheets are not fitted, and consequently don't fit well on the small mattresses. One of the staterooms had a fan, while that was missing from the other two. I think a big problem is that LeBoat does not allow enough turnaround time between rentals to adequately address all of the issue that arise. The AC stopped working during the trip, and LeBoat sent a technician who was able to replace a failed capacitor. Despite all this, we did have a great time, and the propulsion system on the board worked flawlessly. The Vision 3 design is a great boat for 3 couples. Each couple has a nice stateroom with separate toilet and enclosed shower (big plus). There is a large refrigerator in the galley, and plenty of room throughout he vessel for people to hang out. Our particular boat was a bit rough from wear, had some issues as previously discribed, but the propulsion system with the integrated joystick control is a joy to operate.
