We struggled with the technical aspects of starting the boat for the first 2 days and had to call various support lines and wasted lots of hours and money on those calls. I would say the initial demonstration should be more thorough for new starters. We did really enjoy the holiday at the end - the boat was functional, the staff on all Le Boat mooring stations were superb and we would definitely do this again. Functional boat, do not bother purchasing internet, it does not work!
Dear Miss Maciver,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to learn of the issues you experienced trying to start your boat. Your comments have been forwarded to the base team to ensure customers are given thorough instructions to prevent frustrations like these from occurring.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the disappointment caused, we understand this was not what you expected. We hope you enjoyed your holiday nonetheless.
Best wishes, The Le Boat team

The booking and checkin process were very good. The checkout process was not so good. Why? Because there was only one person doing this and, at a peak time for checkout (0900 on Saturdays) this was not helpful particularly when the people in front of you in the queue where faffing about eg they had not taken the engine hours reading and this led to a delay whilst the (sole) checkout girl had to go back to the boat to obtain this. See above answer for my comments.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival, and made us feel at ease at the start of our holiday, and were again very pleasant when we returned. The Classique Star was an excellent choice for us, having plenty of space both inside and out. Although a little battle scarred from previous outings, 95% of the equipment worked OK (one wiper inop, lack of cooking utensils & inability to control the shower heat properly were our only real issues). We also noticed that there was no water hose supplied, which meant we had to do a u-turn to get the tap on the right side of the boat. Hmmm, does this mean you have to run the engine (@ 15p per minute) for longer?
Dear Colin, Our fantastic teams are genuinely lovely people who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service; they care about making your holiday one to remember and go above and beyond to achieve this! Many thanks, The Le Boat Team

Jamie in Sydney has been very helpful during the process and all the staff in France were also good. Not a good experience at Trebes when reporting a faulty toilet but this has been mentioned in Castelnaudry. We all had a fun holiday and would hire another boat from Le Boat in the future. Comfortable boat for 7 people. Fridge could have been bigger, or some form of icebox provided.
Thank you for your feedback. We're so glad that you had a great holiday and we look forward to welcoming you back on board another cruise soon.

Generally good, a few pluses and a few minuses. Took way over an hour to check (due to queue jumping and over-demanding customer in front, which could have been managed better) in which got us stressed about getting to first stop in time. Freezer box door absent and only after much cajoling did they take one from another boat; but they did. Diesel cost quite a bit more per hour than we thought - may or may not have been our fault in not picking up. Was that scratch on the car before we left it in their garage - don't know. Sorry - don't know what the question is . Purchases? Holiday?

From the ease of booking, through making changes to teh booking and then collection and dropping off the boat, everything went very smoothly and all staffer helpful. informative and friendly. The Le Boat experience could be summed up as just very easy going. The boat itself was as described, comfortable with al the amenities required. Would we go again? Yes is the easy answer. One slight gripe was that the trip we went on was a one-way trip, so why put on an extra charge for one-way? surely incorporate this into the start price, it's not as if going only one-way is an option on a one-way trip. It just leaves a little sour taste. Exactly as described. Comfortable, plenty of room and all amenities required.
Dear Mr Bailey,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, it is much appreciated. We are delighted to learn you enjoyed your holiday on the Canal du Midi. We are sorry you were disappointed with the one-way fee. Your comments have been passed on to our operations team for consideration.
We hope to welcome you on board with us again soon.
Best wishes, The Le Boat team.
