Highly recommended. The Le Boat team were efficient and helpful, and explained everything a beginner could need to know at hand-over. We left the harbour with all the information we needed to navigate the Canal and some experience of sailing/docking our boat - and all in under an hour. Excellent boat for 2 people. Not too big which made sailing and docking easy, even on windy days.

This was our 5th Le Boat holiday. Every time we go somewhere new, and it is for this reason that we choose Le Boat. They have bases in very interesting areas and even different countries. They have high standards and their people are really amazing and cannot do enough for you to make your holiday as pleasurable and as stress-free as possible. We found the staff at the base were very friendly and aimed to please, whether booking taxis for us (merci Veronique), or advising on restaurants, or helping us out when we encountered a problem with starting - the glow plug required a long time to heat up, much longer than usual. I thought it was faulty and both Jamie and Pierre gave me good advice on the phone, and were even willing to drop everything and come and sort it out. but there was a knack to it, and it worked perfectly once I had learned it. The region is unspoiled and the cruising effortless. It's certainly suitable for novices and experienced hands alike. What we find is that as soon as you step aboard, the pace of life slows down greatly. Pottering along at just 3 mph is incredibly good for the soul. It's also great for seeing nature. In our first day out of the base, we counted over 20 kingfishers, which tells you a lot about the quality and tranquility of the canal. We can certainly recommend this cruise.

The office staff are very friendly and prepared for our arrival. The technician provided excellent advice and training to operated the boat The boat was small but very comfortable and suitable for a couple. It was even romantic. The living facilities were very comfortable especially he bed and hot shower. It was easy to drive and a great platform for swimming. Totally recommend this holiday. We had a wonderful time.

The customer service team at the bases were great and made us feel welcome. The information manual was excellent and kept us updated with what was coming up down the canals, The Trèbes base changed our towels for us this was much appreciated. This is a great way to slow down try new food and see how village life is down the canals
