Our arrival experience was rather disorganised as staff were unsure of the location of files and computer info. This may have been due to new staff and overstretched existing staff. Consequently we waited a long time before boarding our boat on a windy rainy day. After that things picked up with expert coaching on the water and friendly advice.Good experience following a faltering start. See earlier comments. Good boat.

Dear Mr Phillips,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are very sorry to learn of the issues you encountered when arriving at Benson base. We have taken action on the matter and forwarded your comments to the base team to ensure frustrations like these don't occur in the future. We have had lots of new starters in Benson recently which could be why you experienced a disorganised arrival at the base - we understand that this is not what you expected and apologise sincerely for any disappointment caused.
We are pleased you were satisfied with your boat and enjoyed the rest of your cruise.
We hope to welcome you on board with us again soon.
Best wishes, The Le Boat team

Easy going staff showed us the ropes and got our boat ready a couple of hours early. parking was reasonably priced. Didn't realise it was a double bed, so i had to sleep next to a fellow bloke, but it was the cheapest boat we could get. Rain leaked in the side of the middle cabin which we had to gaffer tape. One windscreen wiper was not functioning and when it was raining the windows steamed up so we had to stop. Of course there are no heaters on the small boats - not really much of a problem to our holiday though - it was more interesting ! It was easy to drive through the locks and park up. The interior was in excellent condition, much better than I thought it would be, like an upper range camper van. Everything ran on auto so no switches etc. The toilet light did not work so we bought a hanging torch from a shop. We cooked a huge curry and a full steak and roast vegetables in the oven and hob. There was enough fuel and water for 3 people over 3 days and possibly more. Would definitely book again.

This was our 5th time with Le Boat, but the first time in the UK. We like the locations they offer. The choice of boats is good. Don't be put off from the older models, they are often well-built, spacious and offer good storage solutions that some of the newer models cannot match. The Capri was a notable case, and in private hands these boats are incredibly sought-after. The booking process is simple, as is the check-in. Nothing was too much trouble. Extra pillows ? No problem/ Extra sheet ? No problem. This is a comfortable, easy-to-manage boat, that is well-built, safe and easily handled, even single-handedly. It is sufficiently spacious without you getting in each others way. When we were aboard, it was very hot, with temps 30-35 degrees, but we coped well. Ideal for a couple.

Correspondence and arrangements at the Aus end were handled promptly. As above in regards to the boat. This is the second time I have used Le Boat the first was three years ago 49 nights condom France to beaucaire. Both trips were at the end of season and both boats were suffering from tired batteries and power malfunctions. In both instances the boats were tired and looked second rate and on face value were most unwelcoming. I realise that they have been in the fleet for a number of years but as a customer they looked neglected. I would certainly not recommend anyone consider purchasing a vessel to put into the fleet . I do intend to do more canal cruising in the future but would only consider Le Boat as a last option. I have used locaboat previously and although their boats are older style they were certainly in better condition
